Sinemia Movies September 2018 Review
To continue my thrilling coverage of the Sinemia movie subscription service I thought it might be neat to go over what I see in the month using it. Think of it as a review of what I viewed, typically scoring each movie and giving thoughts on this pass. For context the service I was given grants a two movie limit on my pass where I'm able to see a premium experience and a casual viewing. Each pass is different, but this is the one I was granted to provide coverage for.
It's actually been quite great and taken a bit of a financial load off of just going to movies I'd regularly check out. Keep in mind that this is from a Canadian perspective, but the pass does work basically the same no matter where you use it. The first movie I viewed during September 2018 was "The Predator", I did so in a DBox seat with a guest. I ended up scoring this a 6/10 as while it was stupid at times, it was rather funny and just a campy time. This was a smooth viewing as expected.
The second film was far later being titled "Hell Fest". I haven't reviewed this one yet, plan to though I don't have a score for it currently. This was alright, some of acting was weak and it wasn't anything too new. It actually really reminded me of "Blood Fest" which released in late August from Roosterteeth, basically the same murderer at a party premise. This was a 2D viewing with a guest, again no problems with usage.
It would be nice to see additional theaters supported in my local city. I say this was the majority of Cineplex theaters are, the new ones seem left out despite emailing in about it months ago. Those are the movies I viewed in the last month, should be interesting to see what I view over a full year of it, for now check out our review of the service below and the Sinemia hub for additional coverage. There will be a fresh six month review in the near future.
